Ignatian Spirituality

Many men and women around the world have found a spiritual home in Ignatian Spirituality. St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises are the basis of every White House Retreat. The men and women of White House are part of the worldwide spiritual family of people who continue to be nourished by the teachings of St. Ignatius.

The links below are to sites that will be of help to retreatants to keep the White House experience alive all through the year.

http://Liturgy.slu.edu Saint Louis University’s excellent site that helps to prepare for the Church’s liturgical celebrations. It provides excellent suggestions for prayer and music. The site also provides a wealth of links to other sites of interest to retreatants.

http://www.jesuit.org The ten United States Jesuit provinces sponsor this site which provides information about Jesuit saints, spirituality, institutions and a wide range of information on “things Ignatian.”

http://www.jesuits-mis.org This is the website of the Missouri Province of Jesuits.

http://www.creighton.edu/CollaborativeMinistry/daily.html Creighton University in Omaha sponsors this wonderful site that provides not only daily suggestions for prayer but will lead a person through the whole of The Spiritual Exercises.

http://www.Jesuit.ie/prayer/ is a lovely site sponsored by the Irish Jesuits. It is prayerful and beautiful and is an excellent place to keep the retreat experience alive.

http://www.Vatican.va/phome_en.htm. While not an Ignatian site as such the Holy See’s Home Page helps the serious Christian keep abreast of recent Church statements and activities.

http://www.pray-as-you-go is an excellent site offering daily meditations utilizing photos, music and text.
