Introduction

Since 1922 people of faith have been coming to the retreat house on the high bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River about twenty miles south of downtown St. Louis. About five thousand men and women follow in their footsteps each year.
We hope this Web Site will both interest others to join in the White House Retreat experience and help those who come regularly to the retreat house to register for their annual retreats and help them to invite others to join them.

Still another purpose of the Web Site is to help retreatants keep the retreat experience alive all through the year. The Prayer Reflections will be changed regularly with the liturgical season. The Ignatian Spirituality page will provide links to excellent web sites that will provide daily prayer suggestions for retreatants.

Our ancient creed proclaims that “We believe in the communion of saints.” The R.I.P. page will list the names of retreatants and their family members who have recently died so that all of the men and women of White House can join in payers for their souls.
